Note와 Notice

일반 소비자 제품을 다루는 문서에서 Warning이 사용자 부상에 대해, Caution이 제품 손상에 대해 그 가능성을 주지시키는 데에 충분히 적합한 것으로 보인다. (https://hoze.tistory.com/885)

그런데 Note와 Notice를 구분해서 써야 할까? 그렇다면 그 차이가 무엇일까? 챗지피티에게 물어보니 이렇다고 한다.

"Note"
Tone: Neutral, informative.
Purpose: Draws attention to useful, relevant, or clarifying information.
Typical Use: To provide additional context, exceptions, tips, or reminders.
Example: Note: This setting only applies to Windows 10 and later.

"Notice"
Tone: More formal and serious.
Purpose: Highlights important or critical information, often involving warnings, policy changes, or important updates.
Typical Use: To alert readers to something they must pay attention to, often with potential consequences.

둘 사이에 용법에서 분명 차이가 있어 보이나, 둘 다 써야 하는 경우는 찾기 어려울 듯하다. 내가 갖고 있는 설명서들 가운데 아이폰과 테슬라는 Note만을, 현대자동차는 Notice만을 사용한다.
