You have the wrong number.

이것은 "전화 잘못 거셨습니다"를 뜻한다. 그런데 왜 the가 붙을까?

여기에서도 the가 필요하다. the가 없다면 의미가 달라진다. 그것은 세상에 여러 글자들이 있는데 그 중 "사악한 글자"들이 존재함을 함의한다. 아래와 같이 쓰는 것이 더 낫다.
